(Hardy Hydrangea) Limelight Panicle Hydrangea is one of the most popular hydrangeas ever, but after years of development and improvement LIMELIGHT PRIME® is the result. LIMELIGHT PRIME® is more compact and refined growing 4-6′ tall by 4’wide. It has an upright growth habit with stronger stems and deeper glossy green foliage. The lime green coloring of the blooms of LIMELIGHT PRIME® Panicle Hydrangea is retained longer and then it transitions into a bolder, showier deep reddish pink. The smaller stature of LIMELIGHT PRIME® makes it easier to incorporate into the landscape setting and is excellent as a specimen, as a flowering hedge, or as a centerpiece of the perennial or mixed border. It is also wonderful as a cut flower both fresh and dried. LIMELIGHT PRIME® Panicle Hydrangea is very cold hardy growing in zones 3-8 and is happiest in full sun to part shade locations in well drained soil. Because it blooms on new wood, pruning may be done in late winter or early spring by taking off about one-third of the height just above a set of large buds. LIMELIGHT PRIME® Panicle Hydrangea is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.

1 review for Hydrangea Limelight Prime®
Nick –
I have three 2yrld Limelight Primes that are about 3’ tall and wide, and have gotten better each year. The blooms are smaller than my Limelight’s, but they are still 8-10” long by 6-7” wide. I’m a 10b SW17 planting zone, so I can’t give a true review on floppiness as I don’t get rain during its blooming phase, but the one spell of drizzle this year didn’t cause any, whereas my Limelight did flop. My Primes actually bloom a few weeks after my Limelight, but the colors are deeper and shift sooner than on my Limelight. Overall I’ve been happy with Limelight Prime, the pictures Heidi & Rod have posted look similar to my plants.
