(Hardy Hydrangea) Hydrangea Limelight Prime® is compact and refined growing 4-6′ tall by 4′ wide. It has an upright growth habit with strong stems and glossy, deep green foliage. The lime green blooms of Hydrangea Limelight Prime® transition into a bolder, showier deep reddish pink in the fall. The smaller stature makes it easier to incorporate into the landscape setting and is excellent as a specimen, as a flowering hedge, or as a centerpiece of the perennial or mixed border. It is also wonderful as a cut flower both fresh and dried. This perennial shrub is very cold hardy growing in zones 3-8 and is happiest in full sun to part shade locations in well-drained soil. Because it blooms on new wood, pruning may be done in late winter or early spring by taking off about one-third of the height just above a set of large buds. Hydrangea Limelight Prime® is a Proven Winners® ColorChoice® Flowering Shrub.

1 review for Hydrangea Limelight Prime®
Nick –
I have three 2yrld Limelight Primes that are about 3’ tall and wide, and have gotten better each year. The blooms are smaller than my Limelight’s, but they are still 8-10” long by 6-7” wide. I’m a 10b SW17 planting zone, so I can’t give a true review on floppiness as I don’t get rain during its blooming phase, but the one spell of drizzle this year didn’t cause any, whereas my Limelight did flop. My Primes actually bloom a few weeks after my Limelight, but the colors are deeper and shift sooner than on my Limelight. Overall I’ve been happy with Limelight Prime, the pictures Heidi & Rod have posted look similar to my plants.
