(Gayfeather) Liatris ‘Kobold’ will add a great vertical element to your perennial garden. In early summer, bright, rosy-lavender flower wands open from the top to the bottom, attracting a variety of butterflies. The narrow, spiky leaves of this unique flower are up to 10-inches long at the base of the plant and decrease in length up the stem. Liatris ‘Kobold’ is a low maintenance native perennial that requires full sun and prefers well-drained, moist soil. ‘Kobold’ is popular as a cut flower or can be dried for decorative floral arrangements.

Not deer resistant
This plant is not deer resistant, at least in eastern PA. All of mine were eaten off close to the ground.
