(Russian Sage) Are you a fan of Russian Sage? Give ‘Crazyblue’ Perovskia a try! Producing the deepest flower color of its kind, it features silver/blue flowers that stand tall on thin green stems. Its interlacing branches are sturdy, and won’t flop over in heavy rain or wind. Hardy in zones 4-9, ‘Crazyblue’ Russian Sage can grow to be 28-30 inches tall and can spread up to 14-16 inches in length. It grows best in areas of the landscape or garden that receive full sun (6+ hours each day). It requires light watering, but otherwise is easy to grow and care for. This Russian Sage is deer resistant and rabbit resistant so you won’t have to worry about these critters damaging the plant. It’s blooms appear in the summer, lasting into late summer, and can attract hummingbirds to the garden. Plant ‘Crazyblue’ Perovskia as a border plant in the garden, as a mass planting, or as a specimen plant. It can be paired with complimentary drought tolerant perennials for a colorful display.
