(Hybrid Spring Phlox) Enjoy even more spring color with ‘Rose Sprite’ Phlox. Although Phlox subulata and Hybrid Spring Phlox are different, they look much the same. Phlox ‘Rose Spite’ blooms 1-2 weeks later that subulata varieties. Standing 6-8 inches tall and spreading up to 24 inches wide, ‘Rose Sprite’ forms a compact slow spreading mound. This floriferous blooms producing a canopy of 1 inch rosie pink blooms. Hardy in zones 4-8, planted in full sun is recommended for the best flower show, but very light shade is tolerated. Phlox ‘Rose Sprite’ is a drought tolerant plant and likes to be planted in well drained locations. This native perennial is butterfly and bee friendly.
