(Naked Witherod) RED BALLOON® is a sensational Viburnum, compact and well branched making this a very attractive container plant. It also grows well as a border plant, in mass, or as a specimen in landscapes. This viburnum, also called Naked Witherod, is easy to grow and maintain. Beautiful large clusters of white flowers appear on RED BALLOON® Viburnum in late spring lasting for weeks. Its flowers bloom on this year’s growth, and the plant itself can reach up to 6-8 feet tall and spread up to 6-8 feet wide. This viburnum is hardy in zones 4-9 making it a great shrub to grow in locations with colder winters. In the fall, large clusters of bright red berries appear lasting into winter. Like most viburnums, the plant will produce more red berries when planted near other viburnums. The birds will love the fruit, however, deer usually leave it alone making it deer-resistant. Butterflies and bees tend to love the flowers in the early spring. Viburnum RED BALLOON® is a native shrub that grows best in full sun to part shade locations. It thrives when planted in moist, moderate soil that has good drainage. A PROVEN WINNERS® COLORCHOICE® Flowering Shrub.

So far so good! Arrived looking full and green and seems to be doing well in a spot I have had problems getting flowers to grow.
