(Rose Mallow) Take a step back and enjoy a little ‘Summer in Paradise’ in your own backyard. That can easily be done with the huge pinkish red blooms of Hardy Hibiscus ‘Summer in Paradise’. Standing 3- 3½ foot tall and spreading to 4 foot wide the compact habit of Summer in Paradise make this an excellent choice for smaller gardens. The deep green foliage is a beautiful backdrop for the 7-8 inch huge hot reddish pink blooms. The large blooms of ‘Summer in Paradise’ are heavily ruffled with overlapping petals. Unlike some of the older Rose Mallow varieties, this one blooms from ‘tip to toe’ meaning top to bottom coverage of the bold blooms. Hardy Hibiscus like to be planted in full to part sun locations and do well in fertile to dry soil, once established. ‘Summer in Paradise’ starts blooming mid summer and goes until fall. This deer resistant perennial in native to the US and is going to have your neighbors talking. Bring Paradise to your backyard with the big, bold blooms of Hardy Hibiscus ‘Summer in Paradise’!

These little guys just took off as they’ve almost caught up to the older ones (over 15 yrs old) still present in my mother’s yard. So pretty!
