(Rose Mallow) Flowers so large, that they create conversation. SUMMERIFIC® ‘French Vanilla’ will have the neighbors talking. This compact form of Rose Mallow has red stems and deep green foliage, it stands 3 1/2 -4 foot tall and up to 3 1/2 foot wide creating a stunning mound of big color. SUMMERIFIC® ‘French Vanilla’ forms pale yellow flower buds that open up to a creamy white, heavily puckered bloom. The 7- 8-inch blooms have overlapped petals and a bright magenta eye. ‘French Vanilla’ holds its creamy yellow color longer than other ‘yellow’ hibiscus on the market. Hardy in zones 4-9, SUMMERIFIC® ‘French Vanilla’ Hibiscus can handle just about any soil condition as long as it gets regular watering. Planted in full sun to part shade locations, flowers will start to put on a show mid to late summer. This deer-resistant perennial attracts hummingbirds and pollinators to the garden and creates quite a specimen for landscapes and gardens. SUMMERIFIC® ‘French Vanilla’ is a Proven Winners® Perennial.

I accidentally ran upon these at a xxxx. I wasn’t sure how to take care of it so I only bought one until I could educate myself one their growing info. I love the Rose Mallow and immediately went back for more but of course they were sold out. If you run across one of these beauties for sale buy at least one. They are a little more difficult to grow than the standard hibiscus, especially here in Houston, TX. The heat can burn those buds before they even bloom and they like moist soil so you’ll be watering at least once a day but the Rose Mallow is a beauty.
